Cowra has well developed cycle paths that offers amazing day cycling around the town to visit many scenic and historical sites and historical stories; Flight Under Traffic Bridge, Japanese Garden, POW Camp, Peace Bell, First People Murals, Lachlan River, Lachlan Valley Railway and the stunning views from Bellevue Hill Lookout , River Park, Europa Park. Quiet gravel laneways that offer quiet country cycling for you to enjoy the nature experience.
The historical Canowindra main street looks like you have stepped back in time. Canowindra has many boutiques clothing stores, coffee Cafes and beautiful pubs. The town was held to ransom for three days by Bushrangers Ben Hall and his gang, then settled up the bill and left. The Age of Fishes Museum show cases some of the Fossils that have come out of the largest fossil find in the southern Hemisphere in Canowindra.
